Hands-on training for personnel who select, attach and control loads and communicate with crane operators during lifting operations.

The programme builds essential knowledge and practical skills for safe rigging, slinging and signalling. Participants learn to recognise lifting hazards, inspect common accessories, select suitable sling configurations, secure and control loads and use standard hand signals to support safe crane operations.

Entry requirements

  • Recommended age: 18 years or above
  • Able to understand safety instructions and communicate clearly
  • Physically fit for practical activities
  • Safety footwear, helmet, gloves and other required PPE
  • No prior experience required for a basic course unless the selected scheme states otherwise
