Workplace first-aid training that prepares designated first aiders to assess casualties, provide immediate care and perform CPR and AED procedures.

The programme provides practical workplace first-aid knowledge and skills for initial response before professional medical help arrives. Participants learn scene safety, casualty assessment, CPR and AED, choking response, bleeding control, shock management and first aid for common workplace injuries and medical emergencies.

Assessment method

Theory assessment plus practical CPR/AED and first-aid skill assessment under the selected course scheme.

Certification awarded

Certificate of Competency/Achievement upon successful assessment when delivered under the recognised course scheme; otherwise use Certificate of Attendance only.

Validity and refresher

DOSH workplace first-aid guidance calls for recognised refresher training every 3 years. Confirm the certificate validity printed by the selected training scheme.

Recognition and compliance note

Only state 'DOSH-recognised first aider' when the training institution/course arrangement meets current DOSH recognition requirements.
